2024 Induction Gala and Golf Classic

Annually, the California Sports Hall of Fame (CSHOF) honors athletes with ties to California who have played pivotal roles in the advancement and promotion of sports. This event not only celebrates their achievements but also raises funds to support aspiring athletes and foster education through sports. CSHOF is dedicated to empowering young athletes as they strive for their athletic and academic dreams.

This year’s induction ceremony shined a spotlight on the extraordinary talents and contributions of athletes and icons from the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Founder Christian Okoye and Gala host Roy Firestone introduced six distinguished individuals into the CSHOF Class of 2024:

  • Rodney Peete – Former USC third baseman and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award-winning quarterback, renowned for his stellar NFL career across six teams.
  • Andrew D. Bernstein – Acclaimed NBA photographer with over 40 years of iconic sports imagery and 25 years leading NBA Photos.
  • AC Green – Celebrated as the NBA’s Iron Man, famous for his record 1,192 consecutive games and three championships with the Lakers.
  • Scott Boras – The preeminent sports agent, known for representing MLB’s top players and negotiating record-breaking contracts.
  • Marshall Faulk – Esteemed NFL running back and Hall of Famer, celebrated for his MVP award and key role in the Rams’ Super Bowl victory.

This year also introduced a new partnership with the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section, awarding two students the Commissioners Scholarship Award funded by CSHOF.

The celebrations continued with a Golf Classic at the Red Hill Country Club in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Highlights included a Mega Putt Contest, an After Party with cocktails and camaraderie, a Mexican buffet dinner, and an awards ceremony hosted by Heather Froglear from K-FROG radio and CSHOF Founder, Christian Okoye. The event concluded with the announcement of raffle prize winners, adding to the excitement.
